I've applied patina hundreds of times, and it's still such a fun process to see! Everyone has their own methods, I've even made a couple videos about patina. In this case, I: 1. Cleaned with cj's, then dawn, then cj's and a magic eraser. Gotta get it clean! 2. Towel dry 3. Apply patina with an acid brush, then pat dry with a paper towel. 5. Clean off excess patina with Kwik clean, then dry with a paper towel. 6. Let dry for an hour or two, apply wax, and let dry overnight. 7. Buff with microfibe

Patina stains can ruin your piece. The best solution is to test your glass, every single time that you get a new piece of glass, or get ready to use piece of glass. I just take a little scrap, pour some patina on it and let it sit for up to 24 hours. And yes, I realize that you’re most likely never gonna leave your patina on your piece for 24 Hours, but it can happen so why not test the limits.
