I feel like most of us are trained in the beginning to use a 10 or 15 blade on the dogs paw pads however, when you upgrade to using a 40 blade, it makes the process so much faster so much cleaner and actually way less painful. Prep work is everything! If you can’t get that metal comb all the way through the coat and to the skin, you could be ruining your tools. It might not be a tool issue but a user issue and it’s easily fixable! Make sure you are washing the dogs properly. Rinsing 100 times. No but really make sure they are fully rinsed. Drying is clutch!
