Things you may not know about our Inner Bailey – the heart of Ludlow Castle 🏰 ⬇️ 1. It is the oldest and most important part of the castle, built by Walter de Lacy, a Norman nobleman, in the 11th Century. 2. Superb views over the Shropshire countryside and the market town of Ludlow from the top of Ludlow Castle’s Great Tower. In the distance you can see St Laurence’s Church.
