Jul 9, 2023 · The only difference i can see is that "bro" can be used in "direct" meaning (brother), while Bruh/bru are always used in "indirect" meanings. For example, "He's my bro" but not "He's my bru".

Personally, I find that "bruh" and "my dude" in various tones express everything from exasperation to pride in a way my secondary students can vibe with and understand.
