Evidently there were some smaller satellite tumors that had grown out from the larger one that couldn’t be seen on imaging. The right breast had a very small Mucinous cancer that was only visible with MRI imaging. I also had different pathologies in each breast. I remember the surgeon was surprised that there was a different cancer in each one.

Older Than 60 Years Old With Breast Cancer
Hormone suppression in elderly breast cancer patients. I am 83 1/2 and am now recovering from 23 days of radiation following right breast wide resection lumpectomy with removal of a metastatic sentinel node and additional seven clear lymph nodes.. My diagnosis is metastatic lobular breast cancer stage 2a, estrogen receptive and no protein.

Showed up in my bones.Breast cancer is very insidious and hides in the bones. I was naive and never thought those few cells they found in my sentinel. Node biopsy and 2 more nodes must have hid. Away for many years even after my breast surgeon reassure me they go it all by remomoving a whole grapelike cluster of lymph nodes in my armpit.

The anxiety is so real and understandable. I had a pretty sizable lumpectomy three years ago for atypia (not cancer), and after a year my whole middle breast felt hard and lumpy, almost like a solid mass in there. All scar tissue and fat necrosis, as they say. Benign, post surgical changes.
