Their servo subs allowed for reasonable sized subs with good output and low distortion. If you were willing to live with large enclosures, you could do better (i.e. the Muse 16, which was basically the size of a refrigerator on its side).

Jan 3, 2015 · I think it's more impressive that SVS,s entry level sub can almost match the performance of a 1000 watt hi tech velodyne sub, I run two subs, one is a velodyne spl1000 and the other is a SVS nsd12sb and their performance is almost identical, right thru test tones, frequency sweeps etc., in a small sealed box it's more about amp power and driver excursion than actual driver size.

Jul 2, 2008 · The CHT-12 is basically the same sub as the DLS4000R, which has a tuning point of 25hz. It can extend cleanly down to 20hz (no more then 10% THD) with a reasonable amount of output. (82db@20hz@2meters ground plain) in a 7500^3 ft room. What you were really missing was a lot more output.

Jun 7, 2005 · How do the Velodyne DLS-3500/3750 compare to the Paradigm subwoofers in the same or higher price range? Currently I have the Paradigm PDR10 subwoofer. Im thinking about trading it in to get some better fronts, CC and surrounds and then buying another sub off ebay. I was looking at either getting the same sub, or maybe a little higher.

Nov 4, 2004 · Velodyn Subs - are they any good. If yes then which would you recommend for a 14 x 14 room. Have coupon for good guys so was thinking about using it at good guys. They carry Monitor , Energy, klipsh and velodyne. They said that Velodyn subs are the best .. but can't take their word with out confirming with you guys .
