Apr 28, 2013 — I've just installed a Velodyne DD+10 in my control room and I love the sound. Too bad if it's true that Velodyne is going out of business. A friend and HiFi-dealer came back from the Münich HiFi Messe and according to him, the Velodyne people were talking about a new DD-series being launched in a year or two. Go figure.

I've still got a 2005 Deco sub (predecessor to the SPL800i) in the pc room and still performs as new after all these years. Its tiny but built like a tank with solid engineering behind it. May 19, 2018 — I bought it new from an authorized dealer in 2006. The amp failed in 2010. I bought a new amp direct from Velodyne and installed it myself. By 2010, the original amp was out of warranty. The 2010 amp failed in 2016. At that time, Velodyne announced on their website they were no longer supporting discontinued models. My DD-12 was discontinued.

Nov 14, 2012 — In my experience several of the subwoofers in favor with audiophile would not hold a candle to many unheralded ones. Some subwoofers brands are rarely discussed by we, audiophiles, yet they deserve our attention because they are superior products: Seaton Submersive SVS (several on their line-up) but in particular the SB13 Ultra.
