Volkswagen is recalling nearly 115,000 cars due to a dangerous airbag defect. The models affected include certain 2017-2019 Beetle, Beetle Convertible, 2012-2014 Passat, 2017 Passat Wagon, and 2006-2007 Passat Sedan vehicles, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Dealers will replace the airbags out of an abundance of caution, and owners are expected to receive recall notifications by late 2024
