Five men’s lacrosse players at Tufts University remain hospitalized after a voluntary supervised 45-minute Navy SEAL-style workout left them with a dangerous condition called rhabdomyolysis.

Twelve Tufts University men's lacrosse players were sent to the hospital and diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis following a workout with a Navy SEAL trainee last week. The diagnosis, also called rhabdo, is a life-threatening condition that happens after an injury or overexertion,

Rhabdo is a syndrome where muscle cells break down and enter the bloodstream, which causes damage to multiple organs, especially the kidneys.
