Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou has described external criticism of his team as "irrelevant" following their 4-1 aggregate defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semifinals.

The Brazilian was substituted in the first half of the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at Anfield on Thursday.
