Parts of the UK are braced for potentially dangerous flash flooding as thunderstorms and torrential rain are set arrive over the weekend. The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for south-east England as more than a month's worth of rain is forecast to fall in a matter of hours on Saturday morning.

Due to the prolonged period of dry weather some areas are at risk of flash flooding as heavy rain hits parts of the country

Have a plan in place in the event of flash flooding. And remember, when travelling, turn around - don’t drown. Do not attempt to cross high water on streets.
