The Atlanta Falcons are expected to sign veteran wide receiver DJ Chark Jr., according to a report from Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. The former second-round pick spent last season with the Los Angeles Chargers, appearing in seven games and recording four catches for 31 receiving yards and one touchdown.

After playing the 2024 season with the Chargers, the well-traveled wide receiver will join the Falcons on a one-year deal. Chark trekked to Atlanta for a meeting Friday, Garafolo notes. This will be the former second-round pick’s fifth team in five years, as the Falcons follow the Jaguars, Lions, Panthers and Chargers on this journeyman path.

A one-time member of the Carolina Panthers is now back in the NFC South. The rival Atlanta Falcons have added a very familiar face to its pass-catching corps.
