If you thought Kirk Herbstreit just somewhat liked Ohio State football, think again. He’s a self-proclaimed “junkie.”

That’s due, partially, to the fact that the Buckeyes have won three straight playoff games — including two in blowout fashion. It’s been a remarkable turnaround for an Ohio State team that appeared to be on the brink of a total failure of a season.

Herbstreit, who appears on “Thursday Night Football” alongside Al Michaels for Prime Video, has appeared on “College GameDay” in addition to calling college football games on Saturdays for ESPN.

While speaking with NFL draft analyst Todd McShay, Herbstreit urged a major rule change in college football. Amid the first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff, Herbstreit spoke on various topics in the college football world, such as NIL, the postseason and overpowering of conferences.
