Over 100 passengers were evacuated from a parked Southwest plane after a traveller’s phone caught fire, causing a seat to also go up in flames. Southwest Airlines Flight 3316 was parked at the gate at Denver International Airport on Friday 15 November and was getting ready to depart when the incident occurred.

However, most of these plane passengers are well aware that almost anything could delay their journey. Recently, a group of people on a Southwest airplane were postponed after a cell phone caught on fire and caused at least one injury.

A passenger whose cellphone caught fire was treated for burns, and one other passenger sustained minor injuries during the evacuation.
