The Boston College Eagles football team suffered its second loss of the season to the Stanford Cardinal 30-20 late Saturday night. After the game, Eagles head coach Bill O’Brien spoke about what he saw from his team and what needs to improve.

A week after falling just short in a largely encouraging loss at Michigan State, Boston College took a significant step backward against Stanford.

On the Eagles’ ensuing possession, Cardinal corner Collin Wright intercepted an off-target pass by Eagles quarterback Dylan Lonergan and returned it 19 yards for a touchdown, giving Stanford a 20-17 lead with 1:29 left in the second quarter.
