Jim Irsay’s death has left Tony Dungy heartbroken. The former Indianapolis head coach joined Pro Football Talk Live on Thursday to reflect on his relationship with the franchise’s longtime owner, who died Wednesday at the age of 65, including a recent missed connection between the two.

INDIANAPOLIS — Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy recalls Colts owner Jim Irsay as being a “compassionate” man. The team announced that Irsay passed away “peacefully in his sleep” Wednesday afternoon at 65 years old. He had been the sole owner of the Colts since 1997 following the passing of his father Robert Irsay.
