Ben Collins to made a successful bid for Inforwars' assests with the consent of the Sandy Hook families. The site will re-launch in January, to target "weird internet personalities" and mock the conspiracy theory subculture.

The satirical news company plans to shutter Jones’ Infowars and rebuild the website featuring well-known internet humor writers and content creators, according to a person with knowledge of the sale.

The Onion has won the bankruptcy auction for Alex Jones’ Infowars, backed by families of Sandy Hook victims, with plans to relaunch it as a satirical site aimed at conspiracy theories.
