No player seems to be off the table for the New York Rangers in trade negotiations regardless of their status with the team. The Rangers reportedly made an offer to the Vancouver Canucks for J.T. Miller that involved Mika Zibanejad.

More and more buzz continues to grow around the Vancouver Canucks and the futures of Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller. And now, word came out that earlier this season the New York Rangers offered a deal to the Canucks surrounding Mika Zibanejad for J.

In New York, it’s not working anymore. The Rangers tried to remedy the situation by trading their former captain (Jacob Trouba) to Anaheim, and Chris Drury (GM) also sent Kaapo Kakko to Seattle.

Drance: The Canucks reportedly would want a talented young center if they were to part with either Miller or Pettersson. The Rangers don’t exactly have a player that would match that description at the moment, although Filip Chytil could fit the bill as a secondary piece presumably.

According to a report from Jose Yobe of The Athletic, the Rangers offered star veteran Mika Zibanejad to the Vancouver Canucks for veteran J.T. Miller earlier this season, but the trade proposal was turned down.

The Canucks rejected a trade that would have sent J.T. Miller to the New York Rangers in exchange for fellow forward Mika Zibanejad earlier this season, The Athletic’s Josh Yohe reported on Tuesday.

With his name surfacing in the rumor mill, the Rangers center is more focused on turning his team's season around and improving his play.
