Tricon Garage, which competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, will field a Daytona 500 entry for former Cup champion Martin Truex Jr. It marks the first Cup event for the Toyota team. Truex also will be reunited with former crew chief Cole Pearn for this effort.

TRICON Garage announced today that it will attempt to make its NASCAR Cup Series debut in the Daytona 500 with an open entry for Martin Truex Jr. The 2017 Cup champion  will drive the No. 56

Martin Truex Jr. will attempt to make the field for the 2025 Daytona 500 and he'll do so in the No. 56 TRICON Garage Toyota Camry XSE. TRICON is looking to make the team's first ever start in the NASCAR Cup Series.

JR Motorsports announced Jan. 15 it will field a Cup entry for February's Daytona 500, with 2024 Xfinity champion Justin Allgaier as pilot.
