An air quality alert will be in effect across all of Minnesota until at least 11 p.m. July 25, according to the state Pollution Control Agency.

Another round of smoky air will cover the vast majority of Minnesota through Friday, the state Pollution Control Agency warned in an alert issued Wednesday afternoon. The alert, which was expanded on Thursday to include southeast Minnesota, is in effect until 11 p.m. Friday, July 25.

An air quality alert is in effect for nearly the entire state through Friday, but northern and central Minnesota will bear the brunt of it, due to their proximity to Canadian wildfires.
