Israeli attacks on the airport in Sanaa and the port of Al Hudaydah in Yemen have posed a danger to the WHO chief. The Houthi rebels accuse Israel of aggression, referencing past confrontations with Israel.

Israeli airstrikes on Al-Hudaydah Port in western Yemen have caused $313 million in losses since July, the Houthi group said. The strikes have damaged the port’s cranes, power station, and tugboats, the Houthi-run Red Sea Ports Corporation said in a statement.

The IDF said that the plan of the airstrike was approved by the Prime Minister, Defence Minister and the Chief of the General Staff of Israel.

Israel struck multiple targets in Yemen it said were controlled by Houthis, the last of the Iran-backed groups still fully engaged in the regional war that began 14 months ago.

Israeli forces unleashed a series of deadly strikes on the Yemeni capital Sanaa and the western city of Hodeidah on Thursday, according to Houthi-run media, killing at least four people and injuring more than a dozen others.
