Travis Decker remained at large and officials had shut down a large swath of a national forest to search for him.

Decker, who is believed to be armed and highly skilled in survival, has been the subject of an intensive multi-agency manhunt across Washington state.

Because of the manhunt for Travis Decker, the man accused of killing his three young daughters, several camps, sites and trails within Chelan County and the North Cascades National Park have been closed to the public.

Grant Hardin, an escaped Arkansas inmate known as the “Devil in the Ozarks,” has been taken into custody, the Izard County Sheriff’s Office said Friday. Hardin is a convicted murderer and rapist. He was reported missing from prison on May 25.
