With the intense summer heat gripping the city, St. Katharine Drexel Preparatory School announced an unexpected alteration to its academic calendar Wednesday afternoon (Aug. 9).

St. Katharine Drexel Preparatory School has named Latasha LaBostrie Skidmore as its new principal ahead of the 2023-2024 school year.

St. Katharine Drexel, the second American-born saint, founded and funded more than 60 private schools across the country for African American and Native American students in the late 1800’s.
