Epic Games announced in a post on X that Fortnite OG is “combing BACK and is here to stay” starting December 6. That means players can experience the original map and loot starting with Chapter 1, Season 1 from all the way back in 2017, when Fortnite was less of the pop culture metaverse juggernaut it is today.

After leaks suggested a new mode was coming, new leaks have confirmed that Fortnite OG is coming back in a permanent sense.

Fortnite leakers ShiinaBR and HypeX were the first to report the news. The first 10 seasons of Fortnite, which collectively make up Chapter 1, are said to be returning on a monthly basis, and only the OG loot will be supported. Additionally, both Fortnite's battle royale mode and Zero Build modes will be incorporated into OG.

Fortnite players, get ready to party like it's 2017. On Tuesday, Epic Games announced that Fortnite OG is returning on Dec. 6, and this time, it's staying for good. Fortnite OG allows players to experience the game as it was when it was first released back in September 2017.

The Fortnite OG mode is making a comeback in December, allowing players to check out the original season of the game as well as the Fortnite Season 1 map and all its POIs.
