A suspect was in custody after an unprovoked attack on homeless people in downtown Miami left two dead and two others hospitalized Thursday morning, authorities said.

According to police, the 12-year-old, along with an 11-year-old, were playing with snow and throwing snowballs at cars.

A man explained to a Connecticut state trooper that he was rushing home to “see his cat,” after authorities said he was caught driving more than 130 mph on a highway.
