The Indianapolis Colts decided to announce at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine that they plan to have an open quarterback competition in training camp.  This has led many to wonder who the team will bring in to compete with Anthony Richardson.

The Minnesota Vikings are expected to hand the reins to McCarthy in 2025, and that could make them a less attractive destination for veteran quarterbacks in free agency.
