The Rays activated Palacios (knee) from the 10-day injured list Monday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports. Palacios has been sidelined since early August with a right knee sprain but has been cleared to return after playing five rehab games with Triple-A Durham.

When the Rays traded Randy Arozarena to Seattle a couple of days before the July 30 deadline, the plan was for Richie Palacios, who had been serving in somewhat of a utility role, to have a big part in filling the void in leftfield.
