Every year, the Illinois Secretary of State's office rejects personalized license plates because they're too profane, inflammatory, or simply too difficult to read.

While some Illinois drivers may think these ideas for license plates are KILER, you won’t see them on the road. Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias has released the list of rejected custom license plate ideas from 2024.

According to the Illinois Secretary of State’s office, out of 60,537 requests for vanity and personalized license plates last year, 335 were denied due to the inflammatory and offensive nature of the requests.
