The Town's Beach Safety Unit, who were already in the area responding to a water rescue nearby, were able to quickly assist pilot Mark Finkelstein, who was the only one on board.

Pilot Mark Finkelstein took a small single-engine plane for a short flight on Saturday evening — only to find himself in the water just 13 minutes later.
Water rescue teams were already in the area after responding to another call nearby and rushed to the submerged plane by boat, jet ski, and surfboard.
