Dragon Ball is home to some of the most iconic transformations in history, but some of its best aren't even canon.

Dragon Ball Super has never really treated Goku like a traditional hero when compared to some of Shueisha’s other releases, and the newest chapter of the series has proved why he’s not seen that way with the reveal of how the world sees Goku after everything he’s done.

Goku's Super Saiyan 4 transformation from Daima is achieved through a spell by Neva, unlike GT's natural trigger. Daima's Super Saiyan 4 doesn't age Goku up like in GT, and his appearance slightly differs. In Daima, Goku's fighting style in his Super Saiyan 4 form is more primal and monkey-like, unlike in GT.

Goku having the ability to use Super Saiyan 4 before Dragon Ball Super is the latest continuity issue to spawn from DAIMA.

At present, Daima has yet to officially call this new form “Super Saiyan 4” but the penultimate installment all but confirms this fact. Mimicking the reveal of Super Saiyan 3, the adult Goku wields the power in his fight against Gomah which is one that is sure to shake the Demon Realm to its core.

Dragon Ball Daima will conclude with Episode 20 airing on February 28, no sequel planned. Dragon Ball Daima will end in just a week, but has kept many surprises for the last moments of the story. Last week, Goku turned into Super Saiyan 4, and the episode trended on social media.
