A 16-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man were arrested Sunday in connection with a carjacking and battery that occurred last month in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

According to Chicago Police, the man was walking near Pershing and Wentworth, just before 8:20 p.m., when the teen approached him and tried to take his belongings, leading to a struggle.

Officers saw and attempted to approach the teen, who then ran into a residence, where officers initiated a SWAT incident.
