Syracuse men’s basketball closed its regular season Saturday evening with a 71-69 overtime loss to Pittsburgh at the JMA Wireless Dome. The Orange finished the regular season 15-16 overall and 6-12 in ACC play after dropping their fifth straight game.

On a day when JJ Starling, Donnie Freeman and Tyler Betsey were ineffective, the Orange could have used Kiyan Anthony and Sadiq White. The duo have been up and down but White’s defense and energy combined with Anthony’s ability to get to the basket would have been useful in a tight game.

After Syracuse sealed its second consecutive losing regular season, Adrian Autry said the “Orange Standard” is different than what it used to be.

Syracuse men’s basketball dropped its fourth straight game Tuesday night, falling 77-62 to No. 24 Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center. The Orange fell to 15-15 overall and 6-11 in Atlantic Coast Conference play after a sluggish first half put them in an early hole they could not escape.

The Syracuse Orange (22-7, 12-5) open up play in the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament tonight when they meet the California Golden Bears (19-13, 9-9). Syracuse won the regular season meeting 90-87 in triple overtime.
