CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The peak of sea turtle season happens in July, when some are getting ready to hatch, and others are still nesting, according to experts. The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources reported the first loggerhead sea turtle hatchlings after 59 days of incubation at the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge.
