"I'd rather get on into Gladiator III," Scott told The Hollywood Reporter Thursday when asked about a different potential next project for the 86-year-old filmmaker.

Ridley Scott has announced plans for a third instalment in the Gladiator franchise, even before the release of the highly anticipated Gladiator II.

Although "Gladiator 2" is still some time away from its worldwide release, Ridley Scott admits he is already considering a trilogy.
