Ruben Amorim says he could not get his message across to Marcus Rashford, feeling that he was not grasping his ideas in the pitch or in training. The relationship between Amorim and Rashford quickly fell apart after the Portuguese arrived as Red Devils boss and the England international was ousted from the first team.

Amorim could mix things up further by moving the Dutchman to the central centre-back position and Maguire to the left. Maguire has experience playing as the left-sided defender in a three for England and Hull City but he is more of a ball-carrying centre-back than a passer.
