Bengals kicker Evan McPherson hits a career-long 63-yard field goal in the first half of Week 12 against the Patriots

Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson broke his own record for longest field goal in team history with a 63-yarder to end the first half of the NFL Week 12 game against the New England Patriots at Paycor Stadium. The previous record was 59 yards.

It’s hard to classify this as a get-well performance, but the Packers did get back into the win column against the Bengals.

Green Bay Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur spoke to the team following their 23-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12.

The Bengals had a 67-yard kickoff return by Charlie Jones get wiped out by a holding penalty against Joe Giles-Harris. But a 21-yard run by Chase Brown and a 16-yard pass from Joe Flacco to Tee Higgins helped set up McPherson to make history and get the Bengals within four at the half.

The Detroit Lions (7-4) and Green Bay Packers (7-3-1) will square off in a Week 13 NFC North showdown at Ford Field on Thanksgiving Day. Both teams are coming off wins, as the Packers handled the Vikings in Green Bay, while the Lions needed overtime to dispatch the Giants.
