Chelley, otherwise known as Michelle Bissainthe, came out as bisexual within the first few days of competing on Love Island USA season 7. Over the course of the season, Chelley had queer showmances with two fellow islanders and gained a massive following on social media.

When it came to contestant Michelle “Chelley” Bissainthe, a Haitian-American Islander, the post was no longer funny. Her “breakfast” featured fruit, Goldfish crackers, and a “knuckle sandwich” —represented by a white fist wedged between two slices of bread.

Love Island USA contestant Cierra Ortega has addressed her removal from the hit dating reality show. A week before the finale, Ortega was dropped from Season Seven after the surfacing of social media posts from 2015 and 2020 in which she used a racial slur toward the Asian community.
