A Dartmouth man who apparently has a violent past was charged Saturday with murder in connection to Friday’s stabbing homicide on Atlantic Street.

Tyler Dow Baglini, 31, is due to be arraigned Monday in New Bedford District Court for the murder of 31-year-old Kerri Fidalgo, prosecutors said.

The suspect in the deadly stabbing was ordered to have a second competency hearing and was held without bail.
