PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia (AP) — Thailand and Cambodia agreed Monday to an unconditional ceasefire during a meeting in Malaysia, in a significant breakthrough to resolve five days of deadly border clashes that have killed dozens and displaced tens of thousands.

SINGAPORE: The recent armed clash between Cambodia and Thailand was a setback not only for peace in the region, but also Asean's credibility, said Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan.

The leaders of Cambodia and Thailand agreed to a ceasefire in a bid to bring an end to their deadliest conflict in more than a decade.
