The winner of The 153rd Open Championship, Scottie Scheffler, walked away from Royal Portrush with $3.1 million (£2,301,726) in prize money, according to R&A purse figures. The New Jersey-born world number one golfer topped the leaderboard by four shots with a total score of 17 under-par after shooting three under on the last round.
