Malik Willis, the 2022 Titans third-round pick whom the Packers acquired from Tennessee before the start of last season, is Green Bay’s No. 2 quarterback, with 2023 fifth-round pick Sean Clifford at No. 3 on the depth chart and undrafted rookie Taylor Elgersma at No. 4.

Shortly before that, receiver Romeo Doubs took a hard fall, stayed crouched down on the field for several minutes and then left holding his lower back. While both said after practice that they would be OK, all this was going on while quarterback Jordan Love was scheduled to undergo surgery on his left thumb.

Love has all the talent, Packers coach Matt LaFleur said, but the QB still needs to do two things to prove himself: stay healthy and win.
