In his third season as head coach, Todd Golden led the Florida Gators to their first national championship win since going back-to-back in 2006 and 2007. Led by Walter Clayton Jr., the Gators were able to storm back against Houston after going down 11 points in the second half.

An all-time great Final Four featured an all-time great finish, with Florida rallying from 12 points down in the second half to defeat Houston, 65-63, in the title game for the Gators' first title since 2007.
