Top Formula 1 teams often avoid giving number one status to one of their drivers in public these days, but Red Bull have made it clear Liam Lawson is not to try challenging Max Verstappen

Verstappen has previously made it clear that he does not have ambitions to break record after record in the sport, but given he is contracted to Red Bull until 2028, there seems a good chance that he will add further championships to his tally in the future, even though he was linked away from the team in 2024 as the team suffered a slump in form.

Formula One season hasn't been kind to Red Bull, and the departure of Sergio Perez after four seasons marks a big change in the team. Max Verstappen, Perez's teammate, has been vocal about supporting Perez amid criticisms of his performance.
