Chennai: Tamil Nadu-based A R Dairy Food Private Limited, which is at the centre of a raging row over allegations that the ghee it supplied to prepare famous Tirupati laddu contained animal fat, on Friday dismissed the accusations of adulteration levelled against it.

Meanwhile, AR Dairy, a company that supplied ghee to Tirupati Lord Balaji temple, on Friday said their product samples have been duly cleared by authorities certifying its quality.

Executive Officer Shyamal Rao revealed that ghee suppliers exploited the temple's lack of testing facilities, leading to substandard ghee being used in prasad laddus. Suppliers have been warned of blacklisting if they don't improve quality.
