The NFL is looking to hold eight international games next season including a possible first foray into Ireland, commissioner Roger Goodell said on Sunday, as the league's push to expand its footprint outside the U.

Goodell told NFL's Colleen Wolfe that he wants the league to play eight international games during the 2025 season, including cities in Mexico, Brazil and Germany along with London, where they've all hosted games before. Goodell also mentioned Ireland and Spain, which would be first-time host countries for the NFL.

For American NFL fans who aren't fans of the NFL exporting our game to other countries, the Commissioner's response would be to play a much smaller, and much more invisible, violin than the one that was used to perform the national anthem before Sunday's game in Germany.
