WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump and Senate Democrats have a deal to fund most of the government for the rest of the year.
A partial government shutdown is expected this weekend as Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., blocks the Senate's passage of Trump-backed funding package, calling it a "bad deal."
The funding deal addresses concerns Democrats have about funding the Department of Homeland Security because of enforcement actions in Minnesota.
The deal would separate DHS funding from bills funding other agencies, Dems say.
