The abrupt, temporary change of guard in 2019 that saw him sworn in as the Deputy CM in an early morning ceremony had the blessings of Sharad Pawar and industrialist Gautam Adani was part of government formation talks with top BJP and NCP leaders “five years ago”,

Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present at the gatherings, the Maharashtra deputy chief minister told ‘The News Minute-Newslaundry’.

Ajit Pawar disclosed his involvement in political discussions with the BJP five years prior, stating that prominent figures like Amit Shah, Gautam Adani, and Sharad Pawar were present. He emphasized that decisions were made collectively,
