After transferring from TCU, Damonic Williams was OU's most-used interior defensive lineman in 2024. Williams announced Monday he would return in 2025.

Williams was a big reason why the Oklahoma Sooner’s defense became one of the best-run defenses in the nation in 2024. With his return, the Sooners defensive tackle rotation continues to be a strength of the team with Williams, Gracen Halton, and Jayden Jackson. Former five-star prospect David Stone will take on a bigger role next year.

Damonic Williams was a standout in his first season in Norman, logging 35 tackles on the Sooners' defensive line.

The Oklahoma Sooners lost a lot of players going into the 2025 offseason. But, it's important that they retain the players that they need to retain. And, so far, they have done that a good bit.This defense was one of the best in the entire country.
