Houston Cougars strength coach Kurt Hester hospitalized with infection, will miss Arizona game
Kurt Hester, the director of strength and performance for the University of Houston football program, is hospitalized and not at Saturday's game against Arizona. Hester, who was diagnosed with stage IV melanoma in late February, is fighting an infection, according to a school spokesman.
Leading the charge for the Cougars is quarterback Conner Weigman, who had his best performance in a red and white uniform last weekend. After finishing the game against Oklahoma State, 21 of 30 passing for 306 yards, two touchdown passes, and without an interception, while adding another score on the ground.
Bachmeier is a young but confident, burly rookie and averages more yards per pass than Dampier with an impressive 64% accuracy. He’s not afraid to run and use his 6-foot-2, 225-pound frame to gain yards and keep drives alive. He is BYU’s second-leading rusher.
