In October of early winter doesn't set in or doesn't snowfall then the mountain will be fully clear and you can walk up to the falls.I visited last May 2 months back there was snow around it so I could not go touch the falls by 100 meters it was a long slide down in Alaknanda valley had foot slipped on soft snow. That should not be issue in October, yes you can do Darshan and Vasudhara both same day. It depends on line at Darshan. I suggest wake up early have tea breakfast at Manaa. finish sightseeing there and finish Vasudhara, Lets say 4 hours Vasudhara return at slowest. 1 hour Manaa village sightseeing. if you want to cross to other side visit Nar Narayan temple and Saraswati river bank down another 2 hours. That should take 7-8 hours maximum. So early morning to late afternoon then Darshan evening on return to city? October has lowest pilgrims should not take more time. Just finish it first week October chances of early snowfall before Diwali can mar trek. Also you will anyway reach badrinath by evening if you travel from Haridwar Rishikesh early. Can do Darshan same day, trek next day and be at Joshimath by late evening alternately.
